The Oxy-Morons
Feb 16-18
It's the Year of the Ox and it’s an open secret that some moronic oxen are on the loose. There’s a 100% chance that they will act naturally so that you cannot possibly suspect the minor crisis they are hiding in plain sight. In this holiday creative writing and publishing workshop, students will work with oxymorons—literary devices that put two contrasting ideas together in a phrase—and write a comic tragedy or a tragic comedy around oxen characters inspired by a specific oxymoron of their choice. (As with all our online publishing workshops, the group sessions will be followed by a 30-min one-on-one session for each student. For the CNY workshops, these will be scheduled on Feb 19.)
