We’re proud to share that ECP and our young authors, with the support of our community of parents, friends, partners and supporters have raised enough funds for our first ECP-funded Bring Me A Book Hong Kong Bookcase Library! Our bookcase library with age appropriate, culturally diverse and high quality English and Chinese children’s books will be installed at SKH St. Clement’s Primary School in Cheung Sha Wan. ECP teachers and volunteers will be doing read alouds with the children of the school during the opening ceremony. We all know about the tragic story of Humpty Dumpty, but did you know that his family tree is full of other amazing eggs? That’s right! Great Uncle Dumpty was actually an amazing acrobat and Rumpty Dumpty was the first egg to fly solo around the world! In this Easter holiday creative writing and publishing workshop, students will create a new member of the Dumpty family and write a story that traces the origins of their unique talent. The answer is the REAL Easter Island, where elves paint multicolored eggs, farmers harvest Easter grass, and rabbits pose for chocolate sculptures. In this Easter writing and publishing workshop, students explore what it would be like to find themselves stranded in The Rabbit Realm, where the locals eat lots of vegetables and take lessons in nose-twitching. As their characters learn about this strange place and the rabbits who reign over it, some feel right at home, while others plot to destroy it. Read more about this workshop!

Each video will feature spoken word text and choreography created and performed by the young people of this city. For the last project in our #Be the Change series, we are thrilled to partner with Translate For Her (TheM), an organisation that provides online translation services to help make information accessible to ethnic minority women.
