“Erravis” by Mira A, age 13

Sometimes writing can be used to capture the essence of a peaceful moment. It can make the reader feel calm and content, even if they were in a bad mood before. 13-year-old Mira Ahmad’s “Erravis”, published in our 2012 book “Textscapades”, captures just such a moment.

Kazuma rolled his eyes before closing them and breathing in that special, inky book smell that was so unique to the library. He rested his head on the bookshelves he was leaning on. His hands were resting on his textbook. He returned his gaze to the book in his lap, reveling in the silence.
